Let's look at some of the facts about Fears, Phobias and Anxiety.......

As babies, we are born with only two fears:  

  • the fear of falling 
  • the fear of loud noises

so all of our other fears develop/are learned through experience as we get older


NHS definition of a Phobia:

  • A phobia is an overwhelming and debilitating fear of an object, place, situation, feeling or animal
  • Phobias are more pronounced than fears
  • They develop when a person has an exaggerated or unrealistic sense of danger about a situation or object


A recent UK survey revealed that 4 in 10 adults have anxiety and the most common stress triggers were worries about :   

  • money
  • family issues
  • health
  • what's going on in the news 
  • lack of sleep .

The stats are even higher for 18 - 24's , working women age 35 - 44 and LGBTQIA+ groups

 

So, living with a significant fear, phobia or any type of anxiety can have a HUGE, negative impact on your day-to-day life!  

However, the Good News is that Hypnotherapy is proven to be a safe and effective way to re-programme your subconscious mind and defuse these crippling thoughts....allowing your body and mind to relax and recalibrate.
